A service in celebration of Maddie’s life is going on right now. I can't be there in person, but I'm saying a prayer for Heather and Mike right now. The service began at 2:30 pm (Pacific Time) today, Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 at the Old North Chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.
Heather and Mike have asked for everyone to wear purple in honor of Maddie.

A mailbox has also been set up for cards, notes, letters or gift certificates. The P.O. Box is located inside a UPS store, so packages are accepted as well.

Sweet little Maddie will be missed. Her smile, those beautiful eyes, the way she brightened everyone's day. Even though I only knew her through the Spohr's blog, I felt as if I had a small connection with Maddie – perhaps because I was also a preemie.
