Thursday's Things 1/28/10

Things I'm thankful for and love:

• I love the sight of
Little hairballs (very odd I know).

I may not enjoy the fact that Kira is shedding *again*,
but that means we have a cute pup in our lives to love & enjoy.

• I love the sound of
The heater turning on.

It means we have a home, and money to pay our bills.
We are blessed!

• I love the feel of
A doctor's appointment (checkup to refill asthma Rx's) that
took only about 30 minutes from arrival to departure.

That's amazing and non-typical!

• I love the taste of
Dinner made by my sweet hubby J.

I had to finish up with some revisions from a client, so
J cooked dinner & cleaned up all the pots and pans too!

• I love the smell of
Pasta sauce.

Tomatoes, basil, maybe a little acidic but a it's good.

• I'm thankful for
Our car being fixed and out of the shop!

Woo hoo!

February is quickly approaching; what do you have planned for Valentines Day?
Do you celebrate it at all?

February 14 here is Chinese New Year, so Valentine's Day isn't really done. Not sure if we'll celebrate, but definitely not on the 14th because it will be crazy I'm sure!

Glad your car is out of the shop!

EEE gads! valentines Day.. nope we don't usually 'celebrate' it .. it's become just another commercialised day for the retailers to try to get your money! I tell Stew I love him all the time, with words and deeds. As he does to me too.

Jenn,

Some of the Chinese New Year celebrations/parades would be fun to see, but like you said I bet they'll be crazy!

I've always wanted to see the long dragons that people carry/dress up as oh and their spectacular fireworks displays.

Celebrating Valentines Day the day or week before/after is always a better idea for crowds and sometimes even money.

Chris,

We don't normally celebrate it either. You're right so many holidays have become about money they're not enjoyable anymore.

Showing love in words and deeds on a daily basis is more meaningful in my opinion than a card or chocolates one day a year. Although, I still enjoy making fudge for J, and he enjoys eating it. ;)
