We were supposed to hear from the title company on Friday if they had received the wire for our payment on the house.
Here's the interesting thing. They decided to wait until 4:30 pm to start the transfer. At that point J and I had a feeling that we wouldn't be handed the keys and "officially" own the house until the next week (meaning today).
Good job guys, I congratulate you for starting a time sensitive and lengthy process at 4:30 in the afternoon on a Friday when business typically closes at 5:00 pm. [Read: sarcasm]
I mean seriously, who does that anyway?
[obviously some title companies]
Yeah, I'm laughing about it now. I guess that's just one of the
many possible issues that can arise with buying a home.
The good part about that? We had more time to pack and get things ready for the move. Blessings in disguise can be hard to see at first, but it didn't take long for us to realize this one.
Moving on to this week already. Earlier this morning J told me that it's official:
We're proud new owners of our first house!
We even went over there at noon today to pick up the keys.
Let the work begin!

Very nice house, but someone stole the front door!
Hee hee! Good catch about the door.
This picture was taken when we had the the initial inspection being done, so I think various people were going in and out.
Congrats first home owners... it's a seriously nice home!
Thank you Chris! We're excited and will be moving in very soon. Can't wait!
