• I love the sight of
Yellow School Buses
It brings back memories of when I was younger.
I can still smell those vinyl seats.
• I love the sound of
The click, clack, ding of a typewriter.
I haven't heard one in quite a while.
• I love the feel of
The temperature dropping in the evenings.
It's starting to feel a bit like fall.
• I love the taste of
Apple cider.
I need to find a good recipe and make some.
• I love the smell of
Pumpkin seeds roasting in the oven.
It's almost that time of the year!
Fall is my favorite season if you hadn't noticed. *wink*
• I'm thankful for
My sweet husband.
He is such a blessing to me and everyone he comes in contact with.
What is your favorite type of cake or pie?
- I like angel food cake, turtle cake, cherry pie and apple pie. What can I say, I like baked goods! Moderation is key.
What family heirloom or memory do you currently value the most?
- I treasure a ring my father gave me when I graduated from college that belonged to his mother who died before I was born.
- I also value memories from a week of vacation during the summer of 2005. J and I spent it with my parents and Grandpa D. before he died that October. He told me that he was proud of J and I, and that J was a "heck of a guy" - which means a lot coming from my grandfather.

love this way of counting blessings! last night it dipped to 46, plenty cools and no killer frost!
two things from my grandmothers...
quilts from one.
strudel recipe from the other... October is strudelfest time in this house/family
I was always jealous of the kids who rode the bus, I never lived far enough from school to get to ride one. My favorite cake is chocolate, yum! :)
