We started working on our pumpkins while watching Smokin' Aces.
That was a veryinteresting messed up movie.
That was a very
Can you say pyro? I've previously mentioned this type of thing runs in my family. Our future children have no chance.
Here's a glimpse back to last Halloween. In 2006, we decided to go with The Nightmare Before Christmas theme, and make Jack Skellington pumpkins.
Neither of us are much for horror movies, so we lean towards comedy, action, and action/thriller. That would explain Smokin' Aces, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and what is currently playing, Shaun of the Dead. If you haven't seen it, you should, along with Hot Fuzz. *Disclaimer: There is some gore and language in a few of those.
Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. I love the sights and smells. Pumpkins getting toasty on the inside, that distinct smell that takes me back to my childhood. I can remember dressing up as a lion when I was around 4 or 5. We had to tie the tail in a knot so it wouldn't drag on the ground and trip me. I think two older boys were wearing masks and scared me. I recall running back to my dad's side, knowing he would protect me. When I was a little bit older, I can would run door to door, giggling and yelling "trick or treat!" with my friends. We didn't have a care in the world, we just wanted to get back home when we were done, and go through our loot.
Have you carved your pumpkins yet? What are your favorite things about Halloween?

Loved your pumpkins! Last year's looked great, too. I lean towards carving something like you both did last year, but I'm not as artistic, so they never look very good.
What are you going to be this year????
Love,
