April Fool's!

What tricks or pranks do you play on April 1st?

I recall my dad telling me a story about his parents.

My grandpa usually had a hard boiled egg in his lunch each day. One particular April Fool's day, my grandma had gotten an egg to put into his lunch. Before she did, she took a black pen and drew a large question mark on the egg shell.

Lunchtime at work, my grandpa opened his lunch and took everything out. That was when he saw the egg with the question mark. Instead of breaking the egg and possibly making a mess, he left it alone, and ate the rest of his food.

Later when he got home from work, my grandmother asked how his day was, and if he had a nice lunch.

I'm not sure exactly what he said or how he responded, but he let her know he didn't eat the egg. He was afraid it was still raw.

She laughed and told him that he should have cracked it over a trash can to find out. It was cooked, but she just wanted to make him wonder.

What a stinker!

Although I never met my grandma, she sounded like a pretty neat lady.

What are some of your April Fool's memories?

Your grandma was a really lovely woman. How she could keep up with your grandfather and your dad, I'll never know!

She would have really enjoyed getting to know you!
