Home

We made it back home safely last night, in time to shower and crash into our own soft, warm, bed.

Today has been spent being comfy in our jammies, unpacking, doing loads of laundry that smelled of our numerous campfires, and putting things back in their proper spots.

J, Kira and I all had a wonderful time camping this past week, even though it rained Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Thanks to previous experiences and proper planning, we avoided becoming soaked. The weather was wonderful and I was able to take in all the fall colors that I've been missing. It was rather chilly in the evenings and early mornings, since we woke around 6:30 to 7:00 AM each day. All thanks to the sunlight filtering into our tent, and the birds chirping a "good morning" to us. The days were sunny and pleasantly warm, cooling off around dinner, right in time for another campfire.

This photo was from our trip in the Ozarks two years ago.

During our trip we enjoyed our time hiking trails, fishing, taking lots of photos, relaxing, and just being out in nature. Once we develop the 4 bajillion rolls of film, I will post some pictures from our trip. I sure hope some of the shots I took came out as well as I envisioned them at the time.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I know we will be resting and getting ready to start a new week come Monday.

I'm glad you had a restful vacation! The leaves never disappoint, do they? I'm so glad you were healthy enough again to go!

Thank you Glee. I'm thankful I recovered so quickly from being sick too!
